Day 19

WOO HOO!!! The end is near, and it's exciting... but I'm a little bummed...  I'm at 17.6lbs as of this morning... come on body.. just 3 more pounds!  I really want to hit 20lbs by Tuesday!!!!  NO fruits till then, just to cut out that extra little bit of sugar..... and hopefully that will help!

Yesterday was a hard day!  I went to visit a friend who had her knee replaced, and wouldn't ya know it, she made dinner.  It was one of those box dinners, ya know like pot pie with biscuits?!?  it looked soo good. I wasn't going to tell her I couldn't have any, because I felt so rude.  She asked, would you like a salad too?  SURE!!  so as we were making our salads, I kinda threw in there how I wasn't eating carbs, etc... she had 2 friends who did hcg too..so she asked if that's what it was. yes! After salads, I of course was full, and so I asked, to be polite if she would like some. 'Val if you can go without eating that stuff, I can too" hahah she was too cute.  Good thing her husband was at school, so he would eat half of it when he got home she said.... haha and threw in, "And i'll probably have some later! hahaha" OH Jen, I your too cute!

Today is an easy day!  I made tomato soup on Monday night...sooo good, and so I'll have extras of that!

Salad and chicken too! yummy day!  I think I'm goin to pick up steak for Thrus. night....

Ok guys Annie is ROCKING IT!!!  9 days in and 12.8lbs!! WAY TO GO GIRL!!!!!

I'm glad I have a buddy to do this with! And I know it's good for her too!!

OK Have a good day ya'll!!

Day 17

I CHEATED, and it was the worst feeling ever!!!  My father made  chili for their churches Pastor Appreciation day, it was a chili cookoff... and I love his chili. I just couldn't help it!  I had just one bowl, no sour cream, or cheese, not even cornbread, just chili..... but man, as soon as I was done eating it I felt guilty, and my tummy hurt and felt sooo heavy.  I felt like I ate a brick! TOday my tummy is not feeling good either.  I think since I haven't had this stuff in soo long, almost 3 weeks, it was too much at one time, hence the 3 weeks phase in.... I know, you're thinking, well chili isn't bad.... well here's the scoop. beans are full of carbs.. so that means heavy...but full of fiber, which is good, because I feel like we are not getting tons of fiber right now.  SO maybe it was a catch 22... but I felt yucky none the less. I still saw my weight drop by.8 so that's not bad, but we'll see how the next 2 or 3 days go now.  I'm so close...at 16.4  I KNOW I can hit 20lbs at least by the end of the week.... right? let's hope so!  or 21 would be so rockin! hhahaha...

I know when this is done, I'll probably put a pound or two back on, because I'll be taking protein shakes again, so I can start working out.  THAT excites me!  I'll use P90X to get the rest of this weight off, and tone, and get looking reeeal good! haha

I wanna say to Annie, You are rockin it girlfriend!! Good job!! 10.5lbs! That's Awesome!!

Today I'm gonna eat mild foods, just cuz my tummy is so yuck still.

Coffe/ Water this mornign.

I brought chicken and salad for lunch, and possibly with an orange.

Dinner, I will probably do the same.  Or I may just do some broth... idk...tomorrow I'm going to attempt to make tomato soup... :)

Here is my dinner Friday night Lemon Pepper Shrimp. It was sooo yummy~

Day 14

Well Folks, I hit the 15lbs mark today..... come on body we can do this!! hahah  I'd love 5-10 more this round! how awesome that would be!!!  It's nice, all my pants are getting big and feeling baggy, my shirts and bras are too.... I'm getting excited to start P90X again... it's going to feel goo working out again, and feeling better about myself!

The bad thing about having an ear infection, is the medicine they put me on, I need to eat with food, so I don't think I'm cheating, but I'm just eating a bit different right now.

I had coffee and water this morning, that at 9ish i had 2 pieces and a few onions of my beef sautee that will be for lunch also... just to get something with consistancy in my stomach.

For lunch then, I'll have the 2 or 3 little pieces of beef I have left, and add 2 or 3 small chicken stips (pieces...probably 45oz.)  add a little bit of acv, spicy brown mustard to it, and use it as a sauce, and pour over my lettuce.  I also have half an apple from last night that I didn't finish, that I will eat with it.

Starting Sunday, I'm going to cut out fruit all together.  YES I KNOW FRUIT IS GOOD FOR YOU..... but it also has the extra carbs/sugars, that for the rest of the month I can do without!  the carbs/sugars in fruit are the ones that go to your gut... so if you want to get a supper smoothe tummy cut that and do just protein and veggies.....  so I can do that for a limited time..

I'm really getting excited for my birthday. Jessie and I are going to go shopping for a new outfit Sat 30.... so that will be fun!  Hopefully I can find something svelte and chic! :)

Tonight I don't work, so I get to have dinner with my Penelope! yeah!!!

Tomorrow will be a nice good test!  Heather is in town and all us girls are getting together!!  They will all be drinking.... but Heather and me.. SO that's good that she's preggers now, so I don't feel like the odd duck out..... buck buck... oh well!

Ok, hasta la vista!!!

!"you fall in love and get married, then you CHOOSE everyday for the rest of your life to love that person no matter what! that's marriage" AW. :)   Thanks Annie for this too!! It's blessed a lot of my friends....... God's timing is perfect!   now someday I'll get the pleasure of living that!

Day 13

Hey guys! it's me I'm back!  Sorry...... I have been soo busy at work that I have not had time to update very much this week!!!

Ok so let's catch up!.... Sunday brought on Aunt Flow, wich has completly stalled my weightloss...... .6lbs in2 days, I wasn't happy at all.... so I'm sitting as of today at 13.6lbs down.... COME ON BODY LET'S GET GOING!!!!!!!  I really would love to see another 10lbs in the next12 days! WE CAN DOOOOOOOO IT!!!!

I'm gonna see if there is a way to upload some photos' of the yummy foods I've been having!

The more I think about it, the more I realize, that after the 21 days, eating is going to be hard!  haha I like where I'm at right now, because I have learned exactly what I can and can not eat....and now they're gonna go and change it all up on me! :/

Last night Cutie came ove and we made Beef Satee..... it was really yummy!  Tip Sirloin, lean, all trimmed, thinly sliced.  In hot pan, put beef, and red onion, sliced.  Satay. (no butter, oil, spray.... just heat) when meat is seared, add 1 clove crushed garlic, 1tblsp. cummin, 1tsp. tummeric, pepper, salt-dash, 1tsp. ginger, 1tblsp. apple cider vinegar, 1tblsp. water, cover and stir ocassionally.  about 5min.
Serve with Lettuce....  mmmm mmm!!  It was soo good!!

This week has been hard just because I wasn't seeing big progress..... Its not stopping me thought, that's for sure.  I think it's helping me focus even more of what my goal is and making sure I make it.  After Nov 1. Isaac and I will start P90x again, and that will help with the last poundage.... If I can make 10 more lbs happen this round, then I'll about 10 more to hit my goal!!! So target date: Dec 15- 147lbs.....  let's see! come on!!!

Day 10

WOW... the first weekend came and went.....
With regret I must say. I cheated... 2 tiny weenie little cheats. I had a nibble/crumb of a pancake and a nibble/crumb of Isaacs cornbread muffin at Famous Daves!  That was sooo hard! THey had nothing that I could eat... so I asked for the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad, no dressing, no cheese,no croutons, and ate the chicken/tomatoes inbetween 2 pieces of lettuce... but I only could eat half of it... with the side salad, I was stuffed! Man when it's time to eat I am hunnnngry! But my stomach is starting to shrink... that's not a bad thing!! ;)

I also got my "Aunt Flo" this weekend... so the weight didn't really shift... I lost 2lbs exactly this weekend.... so I'm not gonna complain, cuz it's 2lbs... but hopefully in a few days I'll see a larger decrease.

Today is a friend at works bday, so we're going to Rock Bottom for lunch.... I hope they have grilled chx salad, or something that I can partake in!  I should menu search for that!

Tonight I'm having a roomie night, so I'm not sure what is on the menu for tonight, but she's supper uber healthy, so I'm not afraid for dinner! hahah

12lbs exactly as of today!! wooohoo!

Today begins my 2 weeks without my hunny....   :( oh man this is gonna be hard!  Especially knowing that if I want to see him all I have to do is drive 15 min.. but NO!  People think I'm crazy for going 2 weeks without seeing him.. yeah it is a bit, but it's for good reasons!
a) He'll see the final product of my weight loss, and I hope to shock and wow him with it!
b) It will make him miss me hopefully.....
c) I think the time apart will be good for us...  We've been together for 2 years just about and only gone 1 week without eachother since.... PLEASE PLEASE if you're reading this, don't think we're going on a break. it is not that AT ALL! It's just time to miss eachother and know that

OK, today has taken forever to get this going....

I wanna say Congrat's to Kevin and Annie, who begin their 500 days today!!  You guys can do it!!!!!!!

Day 7:

Have I yet said how amazing this is seeing my weight drop daily?  As of this morning, I'm down 10.2lbs.  172 never felt so good!  haha O nly because I know I'll only be there for a day!

I woke up hungry today.... so coffee coffee coffee here I come!  Water and coffee fill you up fast!

This is the first weekend so this should be interesting!  No beer, no deepfried chicken, no homemade bread or pies... nothing!   it's ok, I can do this!!  I'll have apples in hand so if I feel hungry or like I need to eat with everyone else, I'll have a piece of fruit!. NO FLESHY FRUITS: Peaches, plums, nectarines etc.... tooo much sugar in those. (for now)  I'll add those back in after Nov.2.

I"m feeling good so far.  My muscles are a little tight and sore, but that's from the fat being pulled out of them.  Usually by the 2nd week I hear that gets better....depending on how much your loosing daily.  SO I may have sore muscles the entire time, we'll see.  It doesn't bother me, and Isaac can give good shoulder rubs if my shoulders hurt!

Today is another boring day..... I cheated again... by using 1tsp of low fat maynaise.  I made a coleslaw that my mom  uses in her Slimgenics group.  It's broccoli slaw with 1tblsp apple cider ving. 1tsp light mayo, salt, pepper, 1 packet sweetner(stiva, sachrine)  mix mix...oh so yummy

1/2 apple for snack, and 1/2 apple, grilled chicken and slaw for lunch! :)

I have another apple for snack this afternoon.  Dinner, not sure yet.  Either the last piece of steak I have or maybe some grilled chicken and a salad?!?!

I'm really getting excited for the end!  My friend Annie is going to do this with me, so she starts her gorge days tomorrow...yeah!!  This is really good, because we can push eachother and talk to eachother and help eachother grow!

SO, here's to us regaining our lives and control over food and the battle of being overweight.....

10.2lbs!!  woot woot....... but 10.2 more here I come!

Day 6:

MAN OH MAN I am tired today!  This headcold is keeping me up!  Ya know when you fall asleep, then you wake up to yourself choking on snot that's draining in your throat! ya exactly!  yuck!!!

Tonight I have to work at RH so I made sure I brought my dinner for tonight also.

Ok, today is gonna be a short storied day!  haha Sorry, just to much to do outside of Blogworld!

So the skinny is, I'm at 174.4  that's 7.6lbs since sunday.... Oh that's fun!  I'm starting to see the change in my body as well... My love handles are shrinkin which is great!!  So this make me at my weight when I moved back to MN 2 years ago.. woot woot.  That's 30lbs down since March when we started P90X!!!!

Today my food is going to mock yesterday.... boring I know, but it's going to have to!

Food:

coffee, and water  ( i cheated this morning and had 1/2 a tsp. of peanut butter.... i just couldn't help myself.....so if I don't loose as good today, I only have myself to blame.....  :(

1/2 my Strawberries for Snack

Strawberry Chicken Salad for Lunch

Orange for Afternoon Snack

Steak from last night.... WHICH Was Delish!!

I pounded the heck out of that steak,  set it aside.  Put fresh spinach leaves, a drop of lemon juice, pepper, salt, a dash of chili powder, 3 cloves garlice and 1 tsp. cooked wild rice.... (which also was not on menu..oops)  Food processor on.. and mush mush mush..... I also added about 2tbps. chicken broth...  I then rubbed that into the steaks..... put a SPRINKLE like seriously 5 dots of parmesean cheese.. Pepper, and rolled them up, put toothpicks thru them, and added a few drops of chicken broth to bottom of pan.  put in the oven cooked to a medium, broiled for 5 min, pulled them out and wow soo good!  SO I have my other one today to eat!!  Very filling!!

ok so that's it!

Skinny Minnies here we come....

Day 5

Day 5 and I'm feeling great!  (minus this cold that I'm getting or allergies or whatever it is...blah!)

So first thin I did yesterday when I got home from work was weigh myself ( I think its going to become a compulsive thing.... wich may not be good.....but I'll need to work on that)  I started at 178.8 when I woke up. I was at 178.0 when I got home.  Before bed, and this is after I had some amazing fish/shrimp, and onion rings and about 5 glasses of water and crystal light, I was at 177.6.......... Today when I woke up the scale read 176.0!!!!  HOLY SMOKES!  I think this stuff is really working!

I'm excited to see changes in my body.  I am wearing a pair of pants that were tight 2 weeks ago when I tried to wear them, and they fit just right today!  I really hope I get to get a whole new wardrobe  at the end of this!  20LBS...or 30LBS  either would be fantab!!!  But man, if every day I lost let's say 2lbs even, that would be a total weight loss of 38lbs at the end of this..... that just seems like to much... I'm realizing that I think the hardest part is going to be the after/maintaining.  I know the first thing I want will be a glass of wine... or two. So my goal is just moderation...and maintain.

When this is all done I'll post before and after photos.... so just wait, you'll see!

Today's agenda:

Food:

Breakfast- coffeeeeeeeeeee

Snack: half of my Strawberries and tea

Lunch:

Spinach, Chicken & Strawberry Salad
 2 cups spinach, washed, dried
100 grams chicken (warm or cold)
5‐6 strawberries, sliced
Strawberry vinaigrette (recipe under “Sauces/Dressings”
1 protein, 1 vegetable, 1 fruit
1 Grissini stick

((Strawberry Vinaigrette
 5 strawberries
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 dropper of Stevia
Dash of salt
Combine 3 strawberries with remaining ingredients in a food
processor. Puree until smooth. Cut up the remaining 2 strawberries and mix with spinach leaves. Pour
vinaigrette over spinach leaves.)

I will have my small orange for late afternoon snack

Dinner:

Garlic and Spinach Steak

Flank Steak
Homemade chicken broth
Garlic
Nutmeg
Parsley
Salt and pepper
Spinach

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Use a meat mallet to tenderize and flatten the steak until it is about ½ an inch thick. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the meat. Place the garlic, parsley, and spinach in a food processor or blender and puree. Add in just enough chicken broth to produce a paste. Spread paste on one side of the Flank Steak. Add just a touch of nutmeg. Roll up the flank Steak and secure with a string or toothpicks. Bake in the oven until meat is cooked according to your personal preference.

And Steamed Broccoli for my veggie...... with garlic and fresh squeezed lemon

http://www.diyhcg.com/  has all the receipes I have been using.  Their site is awesome with great ideas and helpful tips.

One thing I want you guys to make sure of..... careful of the products you are using.  NO Lotions, oils, fat is to be used!  If your skin gets dry, use baby oil or mineral oil to moisturize it.  NO GUM OR MINTS!!  To much sugar in them, even in the 'non sugar' ones.  I have found that I need to carry a toothbrush and toothpaste with me to work, because you kinda get stinky. haha.

OK So today should be a great day! I'm just so excited to see results already! This really works and makes me happy!!!

Also Isaac wants to start P90X when I get done with this, so we can tone it up and look great! ;)

If you have questions, leave a post and I'll answer them the best I can... hahahaha

Ok~!

Here's to being skinny and healthy and getting in shape!

Day 4

Yeah.... down exactly 1pound! haha I mean, that's not a huge step, but it's a step right?!?!

So I think I'm getting a cold, which I hope does not effect my outcomes and how my body looses.  I need to keep eating exactly as recommended, without missing anything! I'm just tired out and exhausted, so I may only work half a day today and go home and rest...... we'll see!

I'm feeling good in the sense that I'm not starvin marvin, but last night I did want a snack while watching the game.  I think the hardest part of this is going to be the mind games!  Ya know, when you're watching the game, or tv, and everyone else is snacking and munching, and drinking a beer and I can't..... so off to the kitchen for a glass of water, and some crystal light......

As I look at the menu, it seems like so much food.... they are full of flavor and should be great! I'm so excited to for dinner tonight, that's for sure!

My plans for food today are this:

FOOD:
Coffee..... I neeeeeed coffee today!
Water

1/2 apple for snack

Lunch:
Crunchy Apple Salad:
100 grams chicken cooked and diced
1 apple diced
3 stalks celery diced
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
Dash of cardamom
Dash of salt
Stevia to taste
Wedge of lemon
Crumbled Melba Toast as Croutons

Mix ingredients together, sprinkle with stevia and cinnamon. Chill for 20
minutes. Serve with a wedge of lemon and enjoy.
 Strawberries for afternoon snack

Dinner:
The boys caught some crappies this spring, so were gonna have those!  Instead of baking in oven, we are going to grill it! :)

Lemon Pepper Fish
100 grams of whitefish( CRAPPIE)
1-3 garlic cloves minced
Juice from ½ a lemon
¼ t. turmeric
¼ t. cumin powder
¼ t. salt
½ t. black pepper
In a bowl mix together the minced garlic, black pepper, salt, cumin, and turmeric. Dip the fish in the mixture, coating both sides of the fish. Cover and refrigerate to allow spices to marinate for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Bake fish on non-stick pan/dish and cover with remaining marinade. Bake for about 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the fish. When the fish meat is flaking off remove from oven. Serve with lemon juice.

Veggie:
'Onion Rings'
80g sliced onion rings
1 grissini breadstick/melba toast
1 T skim milk (as allowed daily)
1/4 t cayenne pepper
1/4 t salt
1/4 t pepper

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl combine the milk, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper and mix together. Grind grissini in food processor until it is a powder. (I use my coffee grinder.) Put grissini in a separate small bowl. Place rings in batter bowl and toss to coat fully. (It's best to use your hands here to ensure you coat each ring.) Let sit in batter 2-3 mins then toss again. Dip each ring into the grissini powder by hand. I find it works best to do these one at a time, rolling the ring in the grissini coating instead of tossing or shaking it on. Place on cookie sheet lined with non-stick aluminum foil. Cook 6-7 mins. Then flip, cooking an additional 6-7 mins. Serve immediately.

I'm excited to try the fish tonight!  It should be supper yummy!

Well.. here's to gettin skinny!!

Cheers!

Day 3: hCG

11 October 2010
Phase 2 begins today!

So let's start off.  I have never blogged before, and this is so brand new.... I'm even 2 days late to creating it!

I have been up and down in weight for the past 5 years.  Previous to that I had lost 100lbs. and maintained it and kept most of it off.  Over the past 2 years however, I put on 48lbs. of that again.  My goal is to lose it all, plus more.  I started this year off by doing P90X.  That system ROCKS!!  I lost 27lbs. my first round thru!  My goal was to do it again, and continue my loss, but time didn't allow me to. I've been very busy with 2 jobs, and I just couldn't do it agian....for now.  I ran across this "hCG Diet" and started reading into it.  My boyfriends mom has a few friends who have lost all the weight they were trying to!  One friend has lost over 90lbs and kept it off, her husband lost 55, and another friend has lost 45lbs!!   On average each lost between 22-30lbs in their first round.... so my goal and aim is 25.  That would put me back to my college days.  So with that here I go!~

This is the website that I go to for recipes, food goals, allowances, and tips.... it's great!
http://www.diyhcg.com/

There are 3 phases to the 21 day hCG Diet!  Phase 1 are 'Gorge Days'.  You eat as much fat foods as you can to help sustain you through the first few days of Phase 2 and also start opening up your stored fat as they activate.  Phase 2: 500 cal days.  For the remaining days you follow this!  DO NOT CHEAT!!!  In the website I listed, they have recepies and ideas to make food wonderful and good!!  While I was waiting for my drops to arrive, I started to watch my foods, and make some on the list.  They were good! And my weight immediatly dropped by 3lbs!  So before I even started I was down almost 4 lbs!
Phase 3: Maintaining.  You have 3 weeks of slowly adding in more protein and veggies/fruit choices. Still no high sugar, carb, starchy foods.  The following 3 weeks, you can increase your intake levels again.  Making sure plenty of water is always drank, and keeping salads in your diet!  Your body will need time to adjust to it's new eating styles, so never over induldge when this happens, until you have sustained your weight.

So here I go:

Sat/Sun were my 'gorge days'. Which was nice, because we were out of town.  I was able to eat whatever I wanted to, while taking my drops, and not be an 'outcast' for eating something soo different from the rest.  Last night we had our last pig out dinner... Thai/Viet food... rice, wontons, eggrolls, curry chicken.. and a beer. So good.

Today is day 3, or day 1 of the 500cal. days!  I'm Really excited!  I want this so bad, and I"m going to do everything I can to make the most of this experience.  On my way to work today, I was even dreaming skinny. haha.  I was trying to remember when I was smaller, picture what clothes I could wear now, and how I would look....  I have a goal so let's do this!!

My birthday is Nov. 2. That will be my 3rd day off hCG, and the begining of my 3 week maintenance phase.  My goal and hopes are that I loose at least 20lbs.... I would love to see 25-30... but 20 would rock! I want to get a brand new outfit showing off my new body!  After this week, I told my boyfriend that I am not going to see him until my birthday! I want to shock and wow him and make him remember the girl he fell in love with, who looks even hotter now!  It's gonna be a hard one that's for sure! We have never gone more than a week apart, in the 2 years we have been together. I'm really excited for this!!

Ok so that's really the skinny on today!

FOOD:
Breakfast
Coffee with 1T cream  1 packet Stevia
Black Chai tea, straight up
Water Water Water

Snack:
1/2 apple

Lunch:
1/2 apple
Salad (Alotted amount)
100g grilled chicken breast
(Seasond with Mrs. Dash Chipolte Season)
apple cider vinegar, 1T spicy brown mustard and Chipolte Season- mixed together, for a dressing over my salad
1 Melba Toast

Snack:
Small Orange

Dinner:
Grilled Cod 100g
(Seasoned with Garlic and chili powder)
Broccoli seasoned with Lemon juice and garlic
Melba Toast

We'll see tomorrow if I lost weight!... I only gained .60 pounsa in my 'gorge days' and I ate cinnamon rolls, doughnut, pizza, rice, curry, deepfried wontons, egg rolls, cookies, wine, beer, blizzard, chili and cornbread... small amounts throught the days.....

So here's to all of us loosing weight and making our lives simple and happy agian!!!
